Paul Sahre: A Designer and His Problems
Paul Sahre: A Designer and His Problems was originally presented on 6 February 2009 in the Katie Murphy Amphitheater at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York City. Video found on AIGA/NY.
Props to Paul having the balls to share his past undocumented work.
Perhaps as designers, we should all take that step and publicly address our past works (whether it be on our blogs, twitter, etc.) that we’ve been too ashamed of to showoff. In doing so, designers, especially the ‘superstars’ become a bit more real to all other designers. This has some sort of tie-in to Khoi’s post from several days back.
I appreciate the insight, but wondering why it’s acceptable to be vulgar in presenting to creatives? It’s a major turn-off for me. What happened to decency in public? It would have enhanced his presentation if the content wasn’t encumbered with that. He has a lot of great knowledge to share with the design community.
