I think, strangely, that it really doesn’t mean much at all. (You know, the part at the end “what does it mean?”).
In the end, it’s all just about contact, love, relationship, eye contact. Stuff like that.

what’s unbelievable ? Think about the NATURE of the “information” in both cases. What we call “information” today could be just nuts ! Perhaps it’s better to know less (of important things) than a whole lot of puny things and be pretentious or condescendant about it ! In other words I’d rather spend the evening and discuss with Homer, Socrates, Platon, Dante, Bach (you name it) than with a person that is proud of being a NYT reader :-) [I'm kidding of course ; but maybe not that much !]
