In Paula Scher: The Geography of Design, Paula talks about how New York City influences her work. Documentaries by Nicolas Heller.
(thank you Nicolas)
Geography is everything! :o)
I absolutely love this woman’s work. And in general I am mad for mappy geographic-y artwork. For anyone who shares my enthusiasm for such things, there is an excellent book called You Are Here: Personal Geographies and Other Maps of the Imagination by Katharine Harmon that I cannot recommend highly enough. Dipping into it never fails to make me happy. (There’s some Paula Scher in it too.)
Fantastic. She is a super bright and thoughtful designer, and this highlights her inspiration from having practiced in NYC really well. Thanks for posting.
