Black Out Shades can be quite ugly. This idea by Jenny Komenda made me look. When decorating Joanna Goddard’s son’s nursery she had the idea to paint white clouds on them. Brilliant! (And yes, I have a thing for clouds!)

that was my favourite detail aswell! wonder what paint she used… AND thinking of things where i can paint some clouds on – since we (unfortunately) do not need any blinds … lampshade maybe?

Nice idea, but I wonder how this would work if the clouds were cut out and replaced with slightly more see through white material?
