Here’s a T-Shirt for all of you that speak German or have an affinity for the language:

Tilo Red = 1
As if Valentine’s day wasn’t enough to be giddy, we are also celebrating swissmisster’s 1st birthday over here at casa swissmiss! I feel like it was just yesterday when I wrote this post. And yes this means it took me an entire year to finally post about Tilo’s birth announcement cards which were printed by the wonderful Kyle Van Horn. The drawing in the front of the card is by Tilo’s sister Ella. It was her first stab at stick figures. I was 7months pregnant at the time. So she drew me with Tilo in my tummy. Adorable? YES!
Art piece needs a temporary new home
Brooklyn based artist Ian Trask is trying to find a home for the above pictured cardboard sculpture. It’s been on a wall in the grand ballroom of Webster Hall for the last 8 months, and due to renovations had to come down. He is trying to find a suitable semi-permanent home so that he doesn’t have to discard the piece.

Remade in Switzerland
Victorinox has a new brand called Remade in Switzerland. The designs are by the young designer Christopher Raeburn from England. He is known for his pioneering work creating ethically aware and innovative men’s and womenswear collections from re-appropriated military fabrics. An MA graduate of the prestigious Royal College of Art in 2006, Ræburn launched in 2008 his label utilising decommissioned military stocks of uniform and parachute fabrics to create functional, intelligent, and meticulously crafted garments.

Snow Type
What does a Norwegian Typography lover do when there is too much snow? They go outside and make type from snow. Of course!

Using the MTA’s actual subway schedule, the piece begins in realtime by spawning trains which departed in the last minute, then continues accelerating through a 24 hour loop. The visuals are based on Massimo Vignelli’s 1972 diagram.
