People Finder

Google deploys People Finder to help Japanese quake victims. The tool is an easy registry creator to help victims and loved ones communicate during emergencies.

Personal Note: I was worried about John Boardley of IloveTypography and looked him up. He checked into the site and apparently is unharmed. Whew.

  1. Absolutely fantastic use of technology.

  2. That was very thoughtful and nice of Google to create such tool.

I was very shocked when I heard the news about the huge earthquake in Japan especially since I’ve never heard of such natural disaster taking place in Japan in my entire life.

Also, hearing the news reminded me again the fact that tomorrow is NEVER guaranteed no matter who you are, where you live, and how old you are….

  3. Thanks sharing! I think you misspelled John’s last name in your post, however.

  4. Thank you Steve. I corrected John’s name. Appreciate it.
