Rainbow Panorama

Olafur Eliasson’s Rainbow Panorama Installation makes me want to book a flight to Denmark asap. RAINBOWTASTIC, as my color-loving studiomate Jessi would say!

  1. Made me think of the new chidren’s hospital in Basel. There are a few pictures of it out there and here is as good a place as any to start.

But to really get the effect it has to be seen while moving past it, and I could only find one video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvtkevKfSpA
A lot more impressive in person so each floor can be seen, as they shows different colour while walking by.

  2. I was there yesterday and had the best time! The weather was fantastic and the view stunning… Such a shame that the experience inside the panorama can’t be captured in pictures, as you move around and the colors change…

  3. This is fantastic. I think we need one in NYC.

  4. Even during bad weather the installation is fantastic. The experience of the city, it’s space, the sky, etc changes the minute you enter the rainbow. More pictures from inside the rainbow can be found in this blog post (text in danish):
