WhimseyBox

With a crafty obsessed 5 year old girl at home, Whimseybox makes me go ‘YES, Please’!

When you register for Whimseybox you’ll receive 4-5 craft product samples in the mail every month for just $15. They’ll select the products based on the things you tell them you like. There’s no contract and you can cancel at any time. They also offer annual subscriptions and 3, 6 and 12 month gift subscriptions.

Check out some of the recent projects. This will make my daughter seriously happy. Crafty surprises in the mail? It doesn’t get better than that. Whimseybox.

  1. This is a very good idea, I would love to have it in Europe.

  2. Sonia – perhaps one of us admirers should contact Whimsey and offer to be the Europe rep! Tempted… Would make a wonderful gift for my neices.

  3. Lovely concept! Do you know of any other similar type offerings – where you buy a subscription and get things in the mail each month which are different from the usual (i.e. magazines/newspapers/books).

  4. @Rachel, do you know of Quarterly? http://quarterly.co/

  5. No, I hadn’t – thank you!

  6. KB, it could be a solution ! ; )

  7. @Rachel – have you heard of Luxe Box? http://www.loosebutton.com/
It is makeup, hair products, perfumes etc.

  8. Thank you! If there is one for stationery products out there, I think I will have died and gone to heaven ;)

  9. I have been subscribed for a number of months now and am GREATLY disappointed. They skipped one months shipment all together due to “delay with product” issues yet they have not addresses the issues with their customer base, said what the fix will be for those of us who have paid for 12 months, etc. The boxes are also now costing $25 each and have about $5 of product in them. All in all, I WILL NOT resubscribe for another year or suggest any of my friends, customers or craft guild members subscribe. AWESOME idea, just not executed well at all.

  10. I got one box and was disappointed. Instead of random craft supplies it was all the stuff to make a studded leather wallet. So not my thing. I was looking forward to a bunch of different things that maybe I had not seen before.
