The basic elements of creativity: copy, transform, combine.
my version is: adopt, adapt, improve :)
copy, cut, paste is the most comon elements…
S = Substitute
C = Combine
A = Adapt
M = Magnify
P = Put to Other Uses
E = Eliminate (or Minify)
R = Rearrange (or Reverse)
Wouldn’t the combined object still be a stack of 2? Perhaps, a bit too literal…
That second step of “transform” is so critical. It’s where your own voice starts to be heard. For so many people, copying is just good enough, but transformation when something goes from being theirs to being yours.
How could copy something be CREATIVE? I mean, it’s exactly the opposite, you duplicate instead of create something new.
