Earlier today I asked my Twitter Followers if they knew of any hidden gems for minimal, clean WordPress Themes. Here are some of the responses I got so far:

  1. Checkout http://graphpaperpress.com – they have an assortment of great minimal themes, especially for portfolio sites but they are all flexible enough to use for text-focused sites. I’ve used their themes for a few projects and loved every one.

  2. You should check http://plaintxt.org , the first WordPress site devoted to minimalism. It has the famous Sandbox Theme that will allow you to develop a minimalist theme of your own.

    Scott Wallick was an inspiration for many designers at the time, his themes are clean and elegant.

  3. If you want really minimal (rather than designer minimal) I built Adam’s Razor http://adamlofting.com/adams-razor but it’s a somewhat brutalist approach to functional design.

  26. I think what you said was very reasonable.
    But, think on this, what if you were to create a killer post title?
    I am not suggesting your information isn’t good., however what if you added something that grabbed
    people’s attention? I mean swissmiss | Minimal WordPress
    Themes is a little boring. You could look at Yahoo’s front
    page and see how they create post titles to grab
    people to open the links. You might add a video or a pic or two to get readers interested about what you’ve got to
    say. In my opinion, it could make your posts a little bit more interesting.
