The Human Body

The Human Body, the first app by Tinybop is finally out. It was illustrated by the wonderful Kelli Anderson, who wrote an interesting blog post about the process.

The Human Body lets you explore a working model of the body. Every part is beautifully animated and interactive: the heart beats, guts gurgle, lungs breathe, the skin feels, and eyes see. Designed for kids ages 4+ to discover what we’re made of and how we work.

Do yourself (and your kids) a favor and download it pronto. It’s stunning. Stunning. Stunning.

  1. It may be stunning, but it is not very good at teaching even the basic concepts about how the body works. The idea is very nice but the result is just mehhh. (Also translations to other languages are bad, e.g. translating the pupil of the eye as student?!) Also the handling is just way too complicated… Sorry but after the post and short video on their site I expected a better effort.
