Houshi Ryokan hotel is the oldest family-run business that is still operating in the world. Really enjoyed this mini documentary on the 1300 year old business, by Fritz Schuman.
A year ago, when traveling through Japan, I stayed at the Hiiragiya Ryokan in Kyoto. Definitely my most memorable hotel experience to date.
