Before the advent of smartphones/wifi I was never in the habit of chatting with strangers anyway… wifi hasn’t changed anything about the way I interact (or not) with people. And as someone who travels a lot, sometimes I just need to get on wifi to do essential things, it has nothing to do with being isolated or out of touch. Pre-wifi I would’ve been doing the same via phone.
