I just got my hands on a ZigZag City Guide New York. It’s a guide made for kids. It comes with beautifully designed cards filled with fun facts, history, and activities to do. Also available in an edition for San Francisco, London, Rome and Paris. Really adorable! Can’t wait to show it to E and T.
I am continuously impressed by what Zach and his team are coming up with. First DIY and now JAM: online courses for kids. I wish this would have been around (and the internet) when I was a kid, growing up on the Swiss country side, *so* hungry to learn and connect with other kids. Can’t wait to see what other classes will be next! (Secretly hoping for a sewing class!)
Perfect proportions observed in nature often follow the theory of the golden ratio. Historically, artists, designers and architects have used it as a means of defining beauty in a theoretical rather than intuitive way. Use the Golden Section Finder, a pocket sized gazing device, to locate the proportional perfection in your surroundings. Totally going to use this with my kids, walking around the city!
Their unique fragrance was created in collaboration with Agilex Fragrances, and includes notes of Dewy Fuchsia Petals, Pink Poppies, Ylang Ylang, and Poplar Wood. Next time, instead of a bouquet of flowers for that special someone, bring a Perennial Set instead.
Work at a fragrance house or beauty company? We also do custom tattoos with fragrance.
Tattly just launched this stunning Watercolor Feather Set by Natasha Lawyer. So excited!
Anna and Argyle is a dynamic digital tale that combines the immersive power of modern technology with the timeless simplicity of a storybook.
It is the beautiful story of a girl who wants to find her lost sock. Anna ventures from her family’s laundromat in Brooklyn to the wild world just beyond the rumbling, tumbling machines, discovering that perfect pairs don’t always match.
I love how the founder of LoyalKaspar, Beat Baudenbacher, lets us peek behind the scenes in their short process stories videos, from character building to the typography used. Anna and Argyle is LoyalKaspar’s multi-year side project. Nothing but incredibly impressive.
Download it over on iTunes.
I am not convinced this LEGO Lunch box is all that practical but it sure would make

Last Friday team Tattly launched a collaboration with Sesame Street! (Yes, my head is nearly exploding!)

How fast is 120 kilometers per hour? How heavy are 4 tons? Units of measure are abstract—until, that is, they are contrasted with other quantities. The juxtapositions in How Big Is Big? How Far Is Far? make dimensions and measurements more comprehensible for children. It is filled with illustrations by Jan Van Der Veke, available in English and in German. I will totally get this for my kids.
