color forecasting?

I came across a company called Color Marketing Group and I am stunned: There is such a thing as a ‘Color Forecasting’ service? In step two of their Forecasting Process they’re saying:

More than 650 CMG members from around the world collaborate during two International Conferences each year to analyze color trends.

…. and in step 5:

Through a Steering Committee, these Workshop Forecasts are consolidated into a final Palette.

I can’t help it, but this makes me chuckle…
