The Climate Reality Project is happening live, all online, today until 8pm, with Al Gore speaking at 7pm. 3 million+ people have tuned in so far! You should too.
More about the Project, taken from their site:
24 Presenters. 24 Time Zones. 13 Languages. 1 Message. 24 Hours of Reality is a worldwide event to broadcast the reality of the climate crisis. It will consist of a new multimedia presentation created by Al Gore and delivered once per hour for 24 hours, representing every time zone around the globe. Each hour people living with the reality of climate change will connect the dots between recent extreme weather events — including floods, droughts and storms — and the manmade pollution that is changing our climate. We will offer a round-the-clock, round-the-globe snapshot of the climate crisis in real time. The deniers may have millions of dollars to spend, but we have a powerful advantage. We have reality.
>>> The deniers may have millions of dollars to spend, but we have a powerful advantage. We have reality.
OH, Lord, could you get any FURTHER from reality?
Most of the people doing the anti-AGW stuff are working out of the closet workspace at home on their own time.
The AGW crowd gets lavish funding for stuff like the above (what, you thought something THAT SLICK gets done on the CHEAP? What are YOU smoking?) from governments, from the UN, from major Green organizations like The Sierra Club and Greenpeace…
You’ll also note that the ones pushing AGW are hardly hurting for any money, they’re all rich fatcats living in huge mansions with their own yachts, like Al Gore, and RFK, Jr., while the most visible anti-AGW proponents are minor private citizens with modest incomes like Warren Meyer, John Ray, and the late John Daly.
Which are you going to trust, the little guys or the ones who don’t even practice what they preach?
Mam’selle you are a great student of design — I enjoy the stuff you find — but when it comes to technical stuff you’re easily fooled by self-serving charlatans and two-bit demagogues…
The entire idea of the above, that one can use personal anecdotes in place of actual evidence is just an example of how to fool people who don’t deal regularly with technical issues.

Screw Al Gore and all his made up allegations, fabricated science and so-called man-made climate change. I’m baffled at all the gullible monkeys that believe this garbage. Why don’t people think for themselves for once. I’m embarrassed to be part of the ‘design’ community for blindly being swayed into this. What a joke!

I love your design finds, swiss-miss, but we should all do some more reading and research…
global warming is the most disgusting hoax ever for these people to make money out of carbon trade…
“Gore’s insistence that he is walking the walk, not just talking the talk, doesn’t seem to extend to his own private life in the context of energy conservation and CO2 emissions. While lecturing the world about reducing CO2 emissions and saving energy, Gore’s own mansion uses 20 times the energy of the average American home.”
agree we should be friendly to the environment and practise sustainability, but we need to get our information right and let’s get re-educated!

As the price of oil increased… I’m still waiting for an affordable electric car to hit the market.. nope it never did and the price of oil keep increasing.
Then some elite have figure out how to tax the air we exhale… This same elite who promotes ‘a better environment’ at any caused necessary to save ‘our future’.
These elite’s could lobby Govt to stimulate the production and facilities for vehicles to moved away from oil based energy. Nope it never did happen, the idea of taxing air and vehicle based on oil is so profitable.
The equation of sustainability consisted of three main factors
design + environment + people (economy) = sustainability..
It must benefit all three in order for sustainability to work. The Al Gore way is eliminating people out of the equation, that is unacceptable.

I always wonder if today’s AGW crowd is the same crowd that thought the moon landing was a big government hoax.
Also, what Chris Shiflett said.

I also noticed this. If you don’t specifiy the theme engine in your themes .info file, Drupal 7 won’t use your page.tpl.php but will use everything else. So I would also say this line is indeed required.
