So, what would you think about a subscription service that sends you a surprise in the mail, every 3 months, curated by me? Well, that’s exactly what Quarterly does.
For another 47hours you can sign up to Quarterly until it goes back into closed Beta for a while. The current list of contributors consists of Maria Popova, Liz Danzico, Scott Belsky, Bobby Solomon, Emily Pilloton, Alexis Madrigal, Michael Karnjanaprakorn, Geoff Manaugh and Mike Monteiro.
I subscribed to Scott Belsky. Excited to receive my first shipment!
More shit that you don’t need, for money that you do.
Congratulations on permanently keeping the wastrel economy going.
Wake up for goodness sake, your country is being raped and all you can do is crave worthless shit! You are part of the problem, not the solution.

hey bob
just stand up and make someone smile – and the world would already be a better place…
like tina is making us smile a lot of times with her blog

Bob’s mad because he just got evicted from Zucottti Park.

My only issue that $25 is a lot of money when you’re not sure what you’re getting! What about you, swissmiss – what’s gonna be in your box???
Oct 13th, 2011 / 6:56 pm
I’m torn between subscribing with you (Tina) and Scott Belsky…decisions decisions.
And yes, it’s probably more stuff I don’t need, but at least it will be useful stuff if I sign up for Tina’s or Scott’s!

While I like the idea I sadly would have to agree with Bob. I love the idea of Swiss-miss.com because I can look at crap without actually having to buy it. Knowing to well that 99% of the stuff is fun for about 5 minutes before it ends up on a shelve never to be touched again.
BTW, this sort of subscription thing already exists… it’s called your birthday and xmas.

I’ll give it a try…

Hey hatters,
Is someone standing there with the shotgun in front of your face forcing you to subscribe? If yes – my apologies. If no ā just skip it.
End of story.

Exactly. No one is forcing anything, but this looks like a very interesting idea and kudos for trying it early on too!

I don’t understand why you are getting angry at people expressing their different opinion.
Tina asked: “So, what would you think about a subscription service that sends you a surprise in the mail, every 3 months, curated by me?”
And people replied to that question. Simple.
I’d probably subscribe it, if I knew what it would include sort of..

I just subscribed with Tina and couldn’t be more excited to see what’s in package #1!
I’m a design student and Tina is a huge inspiration to me. Her blog helps fuel my creativity and gives a jump start to my day.
This is my way of supporting all the great creative initiatives she has been behind, including Studiomates, CreativeMornings and Teux Deux.
Tina, you’re the best, ignore the haters and keep doing what you do.

Hello Tina,
I tried to subscribe, but failed… the site didn’t let me enter my details :( Can you help please?

Thanks,
Rusty

Just received my first Quarterly package today. What a great first selection. The only problem is that there are 2 notebooks and Tattlys, and I’m torn between keeping them both for myself or giving the second one as a stocking stuffer for Christmas!
