There are many critics who make useful contributions to culture and appreciation of art forms. Roger Ebert, for example, seemed to be highly regarded as a film citric and was widely mourned. Maybe it is wise not to trash all critics because we have come across of hostile one any more than we would wish to dismiss all graphic artists because we see some awful design.
