I can’t stop thinking about this question that Will Allen, the moderator of the 99u conference asked last week: “What compliment do you wish you could receive about your work?”
What a profound question. Ask it at a dinner party, ask your kids, ask your team. The answers are raw and moving.
As I commented on your IG post of this, I gave this question to my graduating seniors. Their responses were so amazing. A young man wanted to be complimented on his simpleness, another on his bravery, and one on his hard work in school that his parents do not notice. That one made me weepy.
