  1. Personally I see this just as a bunch of marketing terms created to make us feel better about eating certain eggs instead of others. I doubt the quality of life of hens used in the industry (and by extension, the quality of their eggs) is as diverse as these labels would want us to believe.

    Or if it is, what are we saying then? That it’s up to us to decide what is acceptable and what we can compromise on when it comes to animal welfare and our own health? That what we can afford should determine where we set the bar with these issues?

    In my opinion, this is just one of the many inherent contradictions of animal agriculture in our modern society.
