My kids and I are currently house swapping with a Swiss family. We have been doing so for years, every summer. What I love most about it is that I get to dip into someone else’s life and the products they use and love. The family we are currently swapping with owns a Rocket Coffee Maker and it makes me want to change the locks and never leave. I get the sense it’s the Porsche of Coffee Makers. I admit, it makes my heart sing every morning when I get up. Check out this beauty. The coffee is A+!

I splurged on a Rocket Appartamento about a year ago, upgrading from a Rancilio Silvia. Absolutely appreciate that decision every morning.

I think you would rather want a Linea Mini from LaMarzocco. You could experience it in a house swap with a place in Düsseldorf, Germany ;-)

Rockets are awesome, but still many thousands away from the top of the line. La Marzocco could run 8-10k USD for a top-line machine. Rockets can be had for 1-3k. See also ECM and other makers. I bought a used ECM several years ago and have never looked back.
