Today’s unbeige logo (above) has me a little speechless. I had to do a double-take. Oh my. Eeek!

  1. why eek? they are a fact of life. I just read a fascinating article in a design mag about “feminine hygiene products” and how designers who work on them have to keep it top secret because it’s still such a taboo subject… I’ll find the reference and get back to you.

  2. I agree, Mortimer’s Mom, they are a fact of life BUT that doesn’t mean I would want to have them spelling out SWISSMISS and decorating the top of my blog. That’s the ‘eeek’ I was referring to.

  3. Haven’t you heard, SM? Tasteless is the new… well… ok.. still tasteless.

Can a grown man ‘eeek’ and still retain his (assumed) traditional masculine status? If so, I’m in! EEEK!

  4. Glad to see that at least the designer used a restrained color pallete in that banner…

  5. What can I say? That logo fits my brief. (Check out my Christmas post.) :) Swissmiss – for the first time ever, we shall have blog crossover!

    I’ll credit you and unbeige.

Mortimer’s Mom: I’d love the reference as well, if you find it.

  7. Think I could talk unbeige into making a free font outa that? I reckon I’d be the only one who’d use it, but hey!

  9. Here are two things I have learned:

    1. A designer’s own life can be a rich source of content for projects that are sincere.

    2. A sense of humor is one of the most important tools a designer has.
