perspectives

Picture_13

While interviews traditionally present what people say, in Perspectives the interviewees don’t actually say anything. With the spoken portion of the footage edited out, Perspectives leaves only body language, pauses for thought, and interjections to do the communicating.

Typically people think of “content” only as what’s literally being said. The content of “Perspectives” is based on the idea that what’s not being said says something of its own.

Wonderful!

  1. I like it, but… the minimal visual style, thoughtful questions, and unique concept are betrayed by the hokey “Perspectives! (*cheering*)” and whisper at the end. It reminds me of something the Lonely Island (Andy Samberg, et al– http://www.thelonelyisland.com/) boys would to do.

I love the title sequence from a design perspective but the cheering really says, “We are not taking ourselves seriously.” Kind of a miss.

  2. I completely agree with David’s comment. Made the first 10 seconds unbearable.
