posterpage.ch

If you’re a fan of poster design as I am, then you HAVE to check out this inspiring collection of poster designs from all around the world: www.posterpage.ch. One of the first pages on posters on the internet, this site has been running continuously since August 21, 1997. The page was initially planned to show posters from Rene Wanner’s collection to the public, but the site quickly transformed into an international newsletter that is read by graphic designers, students, museum people, poster dealers and fellow collectors in 90 countries, and reports on all kinds of poster activities that come to his attention. Rene, a swiss fellow, living in Basel, Switzerland, has a PhD in experimental physics and his professional career had nothing to do with graphic design at all. The story of his life as poster collector is the subject of his first web poster exhibition, which also shows the type of works that he collects.

Thank you Rene for all your work you put into your site! What an incredible source of inspiration for designers like me! I am sending you a swiss hello from NYC! “Danke vilmol!”
