Carl and I are thrilled to announce our next CreativeMorning which will take place in the *fantastic* MEET space in Soho, on December 12th, 2008.
Zach Klein, co-founder of Vimeo, and Casey Pugh, Senior Developer at Vimeo, will give a 10minute talk and introduce physical computing with simple demonstrations using Arduino, an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.
The event opens up at 8:30am with the 10 minute talk starting at 9:00am, following a 20 minute disussion. Interested in attending? Make sure to r.s.v.p via email as there is only limited space available. Please tell us your name and what industry you’re in. We’re sorry but the event is full!
A big thank you to Marc and Sara Schiller of Electric Artists for hosting the event at MEET, an impressive storefront apartment-like space in the middle of Soho. When meeting with them and talking about the possiblity of hosting a CreativeMorning, Marc and Sara explained that they realized there was a need for a dedicated space in New York where creative and business executives could gather to re-imageine a business, re-invent a product or pitch potential clients. MEET was born and just recently opened their doors, and is now available to rent out for events. Check out the images on their site, the space is fantastic!
