I’ve been transferring gaff tape from the big rolls they come on onto smaller ones to take with me for quite some time. I usually use old cardboard or plastic rolls that sewing thread comes on, but any small cylinder that is tall enough to fit the tape’s width and has a small enough diameter, like, say, even an Ikea-Pencil, will of course work equally well.
