design*sponge mentioned another great find today – port2port press. (I wish there was a website I could point you to, but it doesn’t like this new letterpress company has an online presence yet. Therefore, I am citing design*sponge:)
… maria has just launched her own custom letterpress company, port2port press. her cards are customizable and feature wood type, mix & match letters and your choice of single letter/initials/full name on 50 heavy white stock cards with matching envelopes. 50 customized cards with a single letter cost $75 while full name or word cards cost $100 (includes shipping within the us and gift bundling)
you can choose from 8 colors (cherry red, dark silver, light grass green, black, chocolate brown, sky blue, salmon pink and cream/white). and select from either a flat or folded card. to order or get more information, please contact maria via email right here.
What a great gift idea!

UPDATE: Maria, the founder of port2port press just emailed me. Even though she doesn’t have a site set up yet, she did send me a link to a flickr set which showcases her letterpress process and gives you an idea on what the cards end up looking like. Thank you Maria! Good luck with the start of the business! I will make sure to spread the word and put in an order myself very soon!
wow. thank YOU kind swissmiss!
looking forward to doing some work for you.
