Glad you’re coming! I’ve been going for a few years now, and there really is nothing like it. And I mean that in both the good and bad ways.
I’ve been a reader for a few years now, and your interests are always so diverse but if you’re interested, I’ve organized a little Polaroid breakfast Saturday morning for fans of the potentially fading medium.
Anyway, been a fan for a few years and figured I’d say hi. Good luck with the hotel!

I live here too. Will you be speaking? I would love to hear you talk! I hope you find a good room, but book soon! It turns into Crazy Town around here during SXSW. Have you heard of the St. Cecilia Hotel? It’s a brand new boutique hotel by the same woman who created the impeccable Hotel San Jose. High price, but high style.

I’m not going but a friend of mine from Nova Scotia is in a show, Jesse Dangerously .. dangerously.ca … it would be pretty neat if my worlds collided when a Swedish blogger in New York I follow from Cape Breton went to a show in Houston featuring my friend from Halifax.

You’re going to love it! Have you been to Austin? It’s one of my favorite cities. I’ve been attending SXSW for 8 years. Lots of great bbq, beer and music. It would be awesome to meet you. -db

We have two very decent Embassy Suites near downtown, and if the Sheraton on 8th and I-35 has availability, it is also safe. There’s a new shuttle service this year, and we have lots of peidcabs. The Embassy will usually drive people around too, if asked.
