Soma wanted to know what was half an hour from his house, so he made Triptrop. Put in an address and you get a map of how far everything is away from it. 15 minutes, forty minutes, two hours – all set up with nice little colors. Very cool!

Very cool. Having lived in the NYC metro area my whole entire life, it’s interesting when traveling to different parts of the country and understand how they communicate distance. For instance, in Texas it’s usually “something is 25 miles away.” Rarely will you hear someone describe distance with the amount of time it takes.
