In this brand new TED Talk Simon Sinek asks: What makes a great leader? He suggests it’s someone who makes their employees feel secure, who draws staffers into a circle of trust. But creating trust and safety — especially in an uneven economy — means taking on big responsibility.
Simon just recently published a book titled Leaders Eat Last and his first TED talk is one of my favorite TED talks of all time.
This was wonderful. I wasn’t familiar with Simon Sinek — I’d read his name a few times, but hadn’t looked him up — and now I’ve just purchased his book. Thank you for sharing this!

I’ve noticed that in this recent startup economy loyalties are frail at best and wonder what your opinion is given that you lead multiple organizations (tattly, creativemornings..) on Simon’s talk.

Thanks for posting this. I absolutely loved his ‘How great leaders inspire action’ TED talk and I always endeavour to ‘start with why’.
His talk on 99u.com (‘If you don’t understand people, you don’t understand business’) is another fantastic talk.
