my best friend got engaged!

Josh proposed to my best friend Vivien today while they were visiting us out on the Northfork (Long Island). We were sipping wine at a winery, when Josh asked Vivien to go for a walk in the vineyards.

Samuel (visiting from Switzerland), Gary and I all knew what was going to happen and we couldn’t sit still… It took them f-or-e-v-e-r to come back. I thought I was going to have a heart attack because of all the excitement.

I helped Josh get the ring the day before and he had me guard it and take it out to the Northfork with me, because he was afraid Vivien would find it in his bag. I felt like I was proposing to her myself. Ha!

She said yes, and now they are both beaming. They make a fabulous couple.
