Yes, today everyone is off in Switzerland. All swiss are busy decorating their backyards with swiss-cross-covered-plates/flags/etc , putting sausages on the grill and setting off small fireworks later today. Happy swiss national holiday to everyone out there!

Well actually swiss national day was a bit of a non-event…the recent heatwave meant a total fire ban in some kantons (including Zürich), so no grilling or fireworking!!!!
What a bummer!

Me and my family and friends were celebrating Swiss National with the villagers on the Swiss Alps. We had 2 mesmerising grill meals with fantastic hospitability.
