Cool! Probably all too dangerous for today’s safety standards!
I played in that second picture on a playground in Detroit. It was not the 70’s, more like late 1990 but I can tell you it was amazing!!!! :)
I remember one like the second picture, too, but sure would have enjoyed the space cruiser!
We had a Rocket slide in my neighborhood (Ohio). It was great fun. Now everything has gobs of padding and is “non-threatening” in concept. Bleh.
Riverside Park in my hometown had the rocket in the second photo… I remember it so distinctly. Of course, my favorite movies were Space Camp and Flight of the Navigator. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
From back when kids were allowed to have fun. Love!
