I say leave out the beautiful part, and have only that which is useful, but only if it is also beautiful.
Tina: on another note: The 82st Garage that had all the fantastic posters… has remodeled. I was in the city last week, and alas. It was being painted. Green. The historic posters – gone, without a trace. :-(

so true. yet that leaves us with the question of what to do with things that are given to us as, e.g. as presents, that we neither believe to be beautiful nor useful .. ;-)
