love it! the skates I had like that didn’t move fast..but I remember adjusting the size of them for each of my siblings and for myself…but I dreamed of owning a pair of white roller skates with pom poms on them.
And they often had some enormous rubber stop ‘things’ attached to the front of each skate. These scared me so much I always looked for a wall to stop me.
I like the title of that book too: “Try Again, Sally”. So recognizable!

In the UK the brand of choice was Jako – what did you have in Swiss land?
