How to download a YouTube Video.

Earlier today I asked about what tools people use to download YouTube Videos. One that seems to stand out is Dirpy Studio. Not only can you turn any YouTubeVideo into an mp3 you can also choose different video qualities and formats.

  2. My favorite one was the simple and quick solution from 3outube.com, which allowed you to download youtube videos just by changing the letter “Y” to “3″ in the youtube video’s URL address.

    But it’s offline right now :(

  5. Usually, I use youtube-dl or clive, two free software apps, to download youtube videos straight to my desktop. But when I’m not in the mood to download and transcode them, I use zamzar.com and/or clipconverter.cc.

  7. I just use Tunebite Youtube Downloader to download and save youtube videos to my hard disk, it’s easy to use and it can also convert youtube flv to avi or some other formats I can use on my mobile devices:

    Plus Tunebite also has a menu to configure individual Audio and Video profiles depending frame rate, frames-per-second, resolution etc. to help setup media file perfectly for each mobile devices and to save space with smaller files.

    Pretty good solution as well, if u ask me

  13. I just went to use this and found the site has shut down (as per the above comments) The alternative I just found was: http://www.clipconverter.cc/

    As i only need the audio this was a a great site as it give you lots of options.

    Though downloading YouTube videos is not legal & it’s not permitted by YouTube but If you and I were producers,we can allow YouTube downloading only if intended for fair use. Also you gonna find many youtube videos which is under creative common license and reuse is permitted. So you can download those kind of videos and also reuse it.
