No Posts Today

Sorry folks, but due to some massive uber storm that’s currently approaching NYC I won’t be able to feed the blog today and most probably tomorrow. I am busy entertaining the kids inside, currently making them believe that cleaning the house is *so much fun*.

UPDATE: So, this was all a bit humbling. My family is fine, and we are lucky enough to have electricity. Schools are closed and the subways are still flooded. My office is in the evacuation zone and as of tonight was still under lockdown. Pardon the lack of posts while I recover from all of this.

  1. Take care, Tina and Family!

  2. I sent a package of my book and storyboxes that would entertain your kids today–but to your studio–few weeks back–hope you got it.

  3. How exactly is this done?

  4. Be safe Tina and the family!

  5. I’ll keep my fingers crossed … and good luck with getting the kids to help cleaning up your place. Now this is very difficult.

  6. Thinking of you all in NYC at the moment, from the other side of the world (New Zealand).

Look forward to my daily dose of swiss-miss when this all passes safely.

  7. I thought of you when I saw all this chaos on our australian news…
Stay safe & thanks for the blog, which I enjoy & sorry I dont comment ever xxx

  8. Take care from Adelaide South Australia

    are fine and save.
I’m watching this bad storm from Germany and even
watched the “Tagesschau” at 2 pm, something i usually Never do,
    last time was at 9.11.2001!
    Good luck and more

  10. May the time together with family be all the warmth you need :)

  11. Pity the image was not given proper credit. But I guess that doesn’t matter on here.

  12. sending best wishes your way.

  13. @Bob!

    GAH!

    SERIOUSLY!

WE JUST LIVED THROUGH A HORRIFIC HURRICANE AND YOU COMPLAIN OVER IMAGE CREDITS!

Yes, I just wrote that in all caps.

  14. @SwissMiss If there is anything the Internet can do for you and everyone else, just say the word. I wish we could do a CrisisCamp, but what does NYC need? The Haiti CrisisCamp we mapped out the roads and hospitals in the country, tagged photos to help find survivors and designed images that did not need translation into a spoken/written language to understand, but NYC sounds like it needs machines, people and physical labor…

Perhaps a site/event designed to help those who lost family photos in Breezy Point to recreate them from memory, as sketches?

  15. If you’re going to be such an advocate on the net, practice what you preach. Posting an image sans credit invalidates any credit you may have.

You posted that WAY before the crisis. You’ve got power. You’re fine. Stop with the drama.

  16. Tina and Family, take care!

  17. I hope you and those around you are well and that damages are reparable.

  18. Good to hear you are fine. The footage looked horrific :-(
Hope your kids like cleaning as much as mine do… *not*

  19. Sending you the very best of wishes from Scotland, Tina. Be safe.

  20. Haeb sorg u pass uf!

  21. @bob: Way to act like an insensitive world-class douche.

  22. Liebe Tina,

    Caro
