No internets.

A day ago our internets mysteriously broke down at the place we are staying here in Switzerland. This means, no blogging after the kids are in bed.

I typed this brief blog post on my iphone, half-annoyed and half-amazed. How incredible are these devices in our pockets? (I remember the days when I used to race home to check my email! )

This little family is not without internets for much longer as we will be traveling back to the U.S. on Thursday.

And, I’ll be back in the office on Friday with a rather spectacular announcement. I am bursting of excitement just thinking about it!

Until then! And, by the way, you look great today!

  2. You look great too, Tina!

  3. I, too, look forward to your announcement.

You do look good today. And thanks. I guess I look okay — except for the stain on my shirt. Can’t believe I didn’t see that in the mirror when I put my tie on this morning. Ugh.

  4. It’s worrying when we don’t have the internet at home. First there is rage, then confusion, then acceptance. We read books, we do housework. Life isn’t so bad. Look forward to your announcement!

  5. I experienced the same thing today from our office in NY. Our internet and phones were out because of a thunderstorm and no one seemed to know what to do. One of my coworkers asked, “I put files in dropbox but they’re not syncing, why?”. Its amazing how much we take the internet for granted.

But the most amazing part of the morning was being able to send files, make changes, and email all from our phones. Can’t remember what we would have done 5 years ago.

    Safe travels!

  10. Yay for spectacular announcements. Is Swiss Air finally designing a personalized jet for you? About time!

  11. I love not having internet on vacation! Suddenly I’m a morning person, I drink coffee and roam around while the sun is up. Walk through towns, read books, talk to people while seated around the table without constantly glancing at my phone… But then again I don’t have kids to take care of, or a blog to maintain. :-)
