The Most Productive Countries

Expert Market analysed GDP data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and found that of the 10 countries with the highest GDP also make the top 10 list for the shortest working hours. Go Luxembourg for taking first place!

  1. Completely pointless statistic. Australia is listed as #3. The majority of Australa’s GDP seems to currently come from Financial and Housing related service due to a house price bubble fuel by Chinese buyers flooding the market. This is follwed by mining.

    It says the average weekly hours worked 34. That’s total rubbish the majority of people work 40 to 50 hours a week. The wealth created from mining and housing generally leaves the country or is distributed at the top end of town.

    I’d venture to say the quality of live in Germany or Switzerland is vastly better then in Australia.
