I watched Heidi on Netflix with my kids the other night, which they loved. It made me go down memory lane of shows and movies I used to watch as a kid. This one, La Linea is one I looked forward to every week. It is an Italian animated series created by the cartoonist Osvaldo Cavandoli. What are some of the shows you remember fondly from when you were a kid?
La Linea ran on TV in Canada also in the 70’s and 80’s and shows like Simon in land of chalk and drawing. Which I used to watch as a kid also

This is so cool! I enjoyed Felix the Cat and Captain Caveman when I was a kid.

My kids and I (they are aged 2 and 5) just watched the 1973 Pippi Longstocking. They loved it so much. I was in Sweden earlier this year and brought back a bunch of Pippi-themed art supplies for them so they’ve been into her and the movie sent the love over the top. Definitely worth a revisit.

“Herr Rossi sucht das Glück” … great.
“Wickie”, “Oma bitte kommen” and “Die Maus auf dem Mars.”

“Es ware einmal der Mensch” (Once Upon a Time… Man) was one of my favorites. Our history teacher was like a Robot, but this show made History fun to learn about.

Oh yes, Karin. Especially the voice of Josef Meinrad…
