  1. Very nice.
Unfortunately, autocorrect only looks at spelling and not usage.
My brain came to a shuddering stop when it saw “your driving”(possessive use) instead of *you’re driving* (contractual use of you are driving).
Creatives need analytical friends and vice versa.

  2. Passed right over that until you pointed it out, went back and found myself quite unaffected by it! Cheers! Appreciate the sentiment of the poem, how apt!

  3. lovely.
i noticed the error but passed right over it. had to laugh at commenter who explained the different usages.

  4. Correct usage matters.

  5. I have to agree that the grammatical error detracts. Words have meaning, especially within a poem.

  6. Such a nice poem. Thank you for reminding us of how wonderful it is to appreciate the simple things. I haven’t seen anything typed on a typewriter in a long time!

  7. I too appreciate the art of good grammar. But the “constructive” criticism only soured the beauty of the poet’s intention for me. Do social graces not apply to social media?

I will revisit this writing with new eyes and appreciate it’s beauty.
