I heard about this from Ricky Gates, who does this kind of project often and ran every single street in SF! During 2020, I did a similar (but muuuuuch smaller) project for my own neighborhood one day. It’s such an approachable and easily replicable project – don’t feel like you need to walk your entire city. Pick a neighborhood or small plot near your own house and get walking or running! I promise you’ll learn something new!

I just love it. It may seem a little pointless, but it is all about experiencing new things, so down to earth, right?

I’ve been inspired to explore more locally, paying closer attention to the single map that I live on – https://alastairhumphreys.com/a-single-map-is-enough/
