motorola Q wiki

Q_1

I am considering finally giving in and buying a PDA phone. I have my eyes set on the Motorola Q… I just came across the Motorola Q Wiki. How cool!

Do you own a Q? If so, do you like it and are you synching it with a Mac by any chance? Thumbs up or down?

  1. haven’t used the Q, but it looks great. and ANYTHING must be better than the Treo!

  2. Hi there. Been lurking here for awhile! :-)

I bought my Q about a week ago and so far LOVE it. I don’t sync with Mac. I use Verizon’s Wireless Sync to sync up with my PC and it has worked perfectly. I’m not sure if Verizon’s software is Mac compatible. Motorola also has a similar product called Share (I think).

I use it primarily for the phone, email & calendar. All of these features are top notch. Email works pretty much like Outlook works on PC with exception to a few missing options. The phone is nice and clear.

If you have any specific questions feel free to email me directly.

  3. You can sync with Mac using a separate program:

I have the hiptop (SideKick) version and it sort of works; I’m still trying to get calendar sync working right. It’s not the highest-quality program, unfortunately, and they don’t have a demo version either.

  4. Get a Nokia E61, you will be SO much happier then dealing with Windoze Mobile and it syncs natively with the Mac via iSync.

Got built in Wi-Fi too! Seriously, don’t bother with a Q…

  5. I am a Technical Engineer in Reseach & Development at a company we all know and I would not recommend the Q, ESPECIALLY for a designer. Windows Mobile 5 and all past Windows Mobile OS’s are the most unintuitive human interfaces designed. When I wrote my review of this device I found myself using my phone half as much as used previous phones due to the porcess it takes to run, what should be, simple tasks. Stumbled on your site only a few days ago and love it. Hope I’m not too late. If you would care for any further tips feel free to email me.

  6. I always used to read piece of writing in news papers but now as I am a user of net
so from now I am using net for articles, thanks to web.
