“BY HAND The Use of Craft in Contemporary Art is one of these books that has me ooo-ing and aaaa-ing and popp my eyes wide open. Some of the featured art pieces made me laugh out loud, others made me raise my eyebrows… what a refreshing and surprising take on what we consider “Art”.

The book is edited by Shu Hung and Joe Magliaro, New York-based artists and designers, illustrators, product designers, and photographers. Their studio is called Es Gibt. They output clothing design, furniture design, and limited-edition handmade toys, and housewares.
