I heard abt a similar program named abridge-it or something on npr that will skim any document for you-even blogs.
We’re totally a cliff notes culture.
This looks a lot like http://www.newser.com/. I use that site every day already, and it looks like NYT is just lifting the design from them. Plus Newser is easier to look at than this – too many words here.

it would be really good if the rss reader in safari was like this, its a great way to handle feeds.
