they do this at the LEGO store. you hold up one of the specially marked boxes and a simulation of the LEGO toy magically appears in front of you on a dedicated screen. (i did a helicopter which was cool since the blades would rotate as you moved the box around).

I thought it was just a pointless gimic till the transparency part. Pretty cool really. Best real world implementation I have seen so far.
