Be part of our studio and rent my desk for two months

I am gearing up for my upcoming break with little swissmister (due to arrive in approx 4 weeks) and am planing on renting out my desk for two months. So, if you know anyone that would make a good addition to our awesome collaborative workspace, send them our way.

Who are we at #612a?

Cameron Kozcon of FictiveKin (my partner in crime on TeuxDeux), Chesley Andrews of Dossier Studio, Max Ritt of swissmiss studio, Chris Shiflett of Analog, William Spencer Copy Writer Extraordinnaire, Jessica Hische Type Goddess, Michael Eric Scott and Jennifer Ward of Minor Details.

We are located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, right on the water. Here, this could be your view:

For a mere $500 a month, you get:
– An approx 7ft long desk (which can comfortably seat two if you have someone come in and work with you for a day)
– Did I mention the east river/manhattan view already?
– Wifi
– Water
– Access to a scanner and laser printer
– For all of you coffee addicts, we have an amazing Nespresso Coffee Maker.
– A HUGE Ideapaint wall for brainstorming
– And then, here’s one of our best assets, you get to stream music to our Geneva XL.
– On Friday’s we usually have Beer and Beetles Rockband evenings.
– Lots of geek talk over lunch
– Oh, and let’s not forget our awesome new neighbors, Workshop, which we totally consider an asset as well to have next door!

Please note that there’s an option to potentially extend the length of the desk rental. If we think you’re an awesome addition to our collab then we’ll find some space for you!

Interested in a two month #612a test run starting february 15th? Email me and tell us why you think you’d be a good fit!

  1. I couldn’t say how much I would like to move in – but the daily trip to New York from Wiesbaden, Germany would be to complex.

  2. I would never get anything done with that view!

  3. what an offer! I wish I had time for a two-month break….

  4. Looks to be a creative space except the chairs seem quite uncomfortable and I may be wrong but isn’t there a large glare from the window onto your cpu in the daytime hours?

    love your blog!

  5. Actually the biggest problem with the space is Michael Eric Scott just this morning making statements like, “Tina, people leave such ridiculous comments on your blog. If they even dared think such things in my presence I would be forced to smack them silly.”

Other than that it’s a most excellent place to get some work done. Or not get work done. It’s up to you really.

  6. Sorry, to far away from my home. ;)

  7. Just a little question, what is the name of that Mac screensaver on the first pic (with the clock) I want the same : ) ?

Thanks ! And nice office !

  8. Too bad I’m not on this side of the world, I would totally join you if I could!

  9. I’d love to be involved with this space! and $500 is nothing really!
Love your ideology and platform. Def my kind of style, to bad im on wrong side of the pond (Ldn)

  10. John, thank you for answering Jerome’s question! :)

  11. Flattering to be listed among the amenities of moving into 612a! We love our new neighbors SO much. It’s such an awesome, collaborative environment. The Rock Band Beer Friday Nights alone are worth the rent.

  12. @John and @Marco who sent me an email, thanks ! Did not notice it when it showed up on my RSS…

  13. almost impossible to say no to this invitation. wish i had 2 months off to come up to NY. i’m sure you’ll find a ‘renter’ soon.
    greetings from Cabo San Lucas!

  14. You should list your space on SuiteMatch. We built this site for these exact situations. Oh, it’s free too :)

  15. Have you had any issues with the IdeaPaint? I was thinking about implementing the same thing at my office but was worried about cracking and chipping.

We also have a Nespresso machine. Love it!

  16. Oh, well *somebody* will have a lot of fun … wish it would be me :o( What a fun location, awesome talents all around ++++ what a deal!!! Good luck with your search!

  17. yikes, only 4 weeks!!! how incredibly happy and exciting. wish it were me keeping your chair warm for a few months.
best wishes for you, g and ella and the little man,

  18. @PJ: No issues with Ideapaint whatsoever. Quite the opposite. It’s the coolest asset in our office!

  19. This is great news. I’ve read so many bad reviews of Rust-Oleum’s product, but I need a full bleed idea canvas. Thanks!

  20. Hmmm, nice clean workspace. I love white spaces.

Those seats don’t look that comfy though, don’t they hurt your bum after a bit? They must be comfy surely though or you would haven’t them right? haha

  21. Is this still available? I’m in nyc now and interested!

  22. Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to understand a lot approximately this, such as you wrote the ebook in it or something. I believe that you just can do with a few % to power the message home a bit, however other than that, that is great blog. A fantastic read. I’ll certainly be back.
