Cloak Bag
Please meet Cloak Bag, the world’s first shoot-through camera bag. Brilliant! Watch this video to see how the bag works. This is so going on my wishlist!
I wonder if it is difficult to use? I have been to ecuador twice and both times people on the streets warned me not to have my good camera out in the open. I can relate to the story on the story page.
I don’t believe that Marcus. An image is the property of the eye, as long as it is seen in public space. The subject is merely the physical support of something I project over. And, sometimes, staying up front dissolves the image…
I don’t think this is really about hiding the fact that you are taking a photo. It’s more for hiding the camera during transit but also making it so that it is available to snap a quick photo if you need to. At least that’s the way I see it. I would use it, but not for spying.
This is an interesting but flawed concept. It is very much like when bike messengers cover their bicycle frames with duct or electrical tape. Everyone will still recognize it is a bicycle; all it does is conceal the brand name.
I am fairly certain a robber will recognize a person using a camera in public regardless of how the camera is dressed. I don’t see how keeping one concealed within this goofy bag is supposed to avoid one from being robbed.
Swissmiss is an online garden Tina Roth Eisenberg started in 2005 and has lovingly tended to ever since.
Besides swissmiss, Tina founded and runs TeuxDeux, CreativeMornings and her Brooklyn based co-working community Friends Work Here. (She also started Tattly which was recently adopted by BIC)

Yes! I am always missing shots because it takes too long to whip my case out of my bag and then my camera out of the case. This is such a good idea.

This is cute. No flash, I’m sure, but don’t matter.

Covert shooting is despicable…if you take someone’s photo, be up front about it. Spy shit is for wannabes.

I’m with Marcus. If you can’t get the image honestly, you probably shouldn’t be getting the image.

I think putting a camera up against your face is less obvious that a bulky bag. You’d just look weird.
