During my 24h visit to Los Angeles last week I had the pleasure to enjoy a cup of Intelligentsia coffee. It was the best cup of coffee I have ever had, and I never thought I would say that outside of Italy. My friend Jon took me to the Intelligentsia coffee shop in Venice. The space itself is stunning and well worth a visit, even if you don’t drink coffee. Watching the barrista making our coffee pushed me over the edge. Can we please have a Intelligentsia in DUMBO?
Their New York Training Lab offers various classes. Espresso 101 anyone? Oh, I am tempted.
Good to know! You’ve GOT to try Espresso Vivace or Stumptown if you make it out to Seattle. My favorites, by far.

Intelligentsia rocks. There’s an awesome coffee shop in, yes, Montgomery, Alabama that serves it called The Tipping Point (http://www.tippingpointhampstead.com/). One of my favorite places in the USA.

Just thought you might want to know that the arts space 3rd Ward, in Bushwick, in addition to their restaurant GOODS, in Williamsburg, serves Intelligentsia coffee. Very good stuff.

I used to work rght down the street from one of Chicago’s 3 Intelligentsia locations and I couldn’t get enough. Their soy lattes are so delicious, I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. I just got back from Italy and had some pretty amazing espresso/cappucino there so I don’t know if I can say Intelligentsia is better but it sure does compare!

Hey Tina, speaking about coffee and Venice, take a look at this link: http://www.elektrasrl.com/home.php
The “Family Retrò” model made me crazy. It’s made in Treviso, few km from Venice.
P.S. Next time you come in Venice, you have a gondola ride for free :D

9th Street Espresso serves Intelligentsia.

ditto Stumptown at the Ace in midtown. That, is the best cup in the US. But if you really like Intelligentsia then try 9th Street Espresso in lowertown Manhattan. They use coffee roasted by Intelligentsia coffee and are just as diligent about pressing a proper cup. Funny enough 9th street used to use Stumptown but Stumptown wouldn’t compromise on quality and let them rebrand the coffee with their own label.
