NYC based designer Kelli Anderson created the most amazing wedding invitation in this universe: A Paper Record Player:

We here at Studiomates were lucky enough to get a live demonstration of the card by Kelly last week. Yes, we were blown away.
Bold Futura as an invitation heading, sign me up. Throw in a paper record player, now that is cool.

I don’t want to be That Person, but years ago Stefan Sagmeister designed a business card whose corner rolled into an amplifying cone and the vinyl disc underneath – when turned by your finger – recited the person’s contact information. It’s still really cool to use the idea for something more fun than a business card!

I didn’t want to be That Person either. That business card was Stefan’s business card. My creative director met with him and that’s what he handed him at the end of the meeting. Pretty cool whether it’s for an invite or business card.

Amazing, love the outside the box approach for the wedding invite, very unusual and quirky! I like very muchie!

Yes, I agree, this is a nice attention grabbing and catchy idea. Cool design too. But the idea of the paper record player is likely 25 years old, I have used it extensively then, back in Europe, there were several direct marketing companies who produced this model.
It’s great to see this idea reincarnated in style!

I wish my wedding invitation was as cool as that. Not the kind of invitation that goes in the bin. Great work.
